S O C I E T Y
Why do I personally want to conquer the world, you might wonder? For two reason; power and disgust. Society sickens me, even as it decays and becomes a decrepit beast that restrains the brilliant and punishes the lesser humans. I grow more and more angered by the decadence of society with every day, and as technology evolves the lethargic nature of humans predominates all else. My perceptions change, and I see the technology and culture we have created as an invading army already prepared and deployed, waiting to be manipulated.
Disabilities
Our society, though some may say we try to avoid it, has developed the disturbing belief that disability equates to inability. We spend more time concentrating on what people cannot do than on what their mental abilities may permit. Even if it is only subconsciously, one cannot deny the discrimination exists in a majority of our (and worse in most of the world’s) society.
Conflict
What is it in human nature that makes people think bloodshed is the only way to resolve disputes? Even I, with ambitions that will indubitably entail copious amounts of casualties, understand that killing is not, nor will ever be, the solution to every problem. Manipulation, lying, bribing, blackmailing, and so on will solve many disputes that even the most indiscriminate of slaughter would not, and with many added benefits. War is to be avoided. War is to be prepared for, however.
Poverty
The nature of capitalism is exploitation and greed. Our economical system benefits the government tremendously, making it strong and relatively stable, in turn making most of the moderately well off population feel their society is happy and stable. We hurt those at the bottom, trapping them in unjust conditions that our laws only partially combat; for it benefits the government when McSlaves work 12 hour shifts.
((Think I support communism? Then you’re an imbecile. There are more than two economies in the world. Communism is the epitome of justice and nobility in theory, just as pacifism is. It will last until it is challenged, then it will shatter, making the visionaries worse off than before.))
Famine
The exact same issue as poverty, in essence. Human nature dictates that with free reign humans will, as a majority, let those either less fortunate or less skilled starve as they bathe in luxury. A true aspiring dictator knows that a new society must give everyone a fair chance from birth to the end of the education. After that, if they fail, it’s their own fault.
Egotism
The implication of being an American is inherent superiority. Even in the most primitive levels, our society raises humans to constantly judge each other and note their faults to bolster our own arrogance.
Crime
It is not caused by lack of discipline or punishment inflicted upon criminals (or innocents being made an example of). I am reluctant to admit that crackdowns won’t make your empire stronger. The cause of crime is society itself, as provoked by the weaknesses and malformation of the government, the legal system, politics, the educational system, medical, and society itself. It is not the minorities, or specific social classes that are to blame for the rising crime rates. Such escalating violence is the symptom of decadent materialism, with which our society – and most of humanity – is fatally inflicted.
Prisons do not retrain people to join society, they merely punish them. Brain washing Re-education is vital if you want to keep your population count high.
Summary
Our society is decaying. Reforms, whether political, economical, or social, will never be enough to save it. A diseased public will always spawn a diseased government, still rotting without the slightest regard to the political party that governs or the economical structure that provides a backbone. The illness is of spirit and strife, of division and blindness. Our ailment is of the individual and the collective world identity, and no changes to the outer shell of our lives will change this. Such an act is similar to receiving plastic surgery for a terminal disease causing physical disfiguration. At best changing just the government, or just the economical policies, and so on is a temporary measure, one that will never cure the underlying problem. The problem of humanity, the one thing you must discard on your way to becoming a dictator. |
